Zeroll Universal Small EZ Disher Food/Ice Cream Scoop, Burgundy Reviews
24 of 24 people found the following review helpful Handles heavy batters with ease, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Zeroll #2012 Universal EZ Disher Food/Ice Cream Scoop For years I've used two stainless steel scoops for cookie-baking. One regular sized scoop and one comparably sized (i.e. jumbo cookie-sized) to the black-handled Zeroll. The stainless ones have been the bain of my cookie-baking in that the metal-toothed gear at the bottom of the handle would frequently "jump the tracks" and leave the inner ring hanging outside the scoop. Several minutes and a stout kitchen knife would then be needed to pry the teeth back in alignment. No more will that be necessary - these scoops work flawlessly. They scoop through stiff batters and release the dough smoothly with no wailing or knashing of teeth - mine or the scoop's. 20 of 20 people found the following review helpful Nice big scoop, By Mainiac (Portland, Maine, USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Zeroll Universal Medium EZ Disher Food/Ice Cream Scoop, Blue (Kitchen) This scoop works great and looks great, too.I'm posting mostly because there wasn't sufficient size information when I bought mine. (I was judging by the picture and figured I'd use it for cookie dough or a melon baller if it was smaller than I was hoping.) This is a Zeroll size 16, which is 2.25" in diameter (57mm). It appears that the Zeroll scoops are color coded... if you go to the Zeroll website (just add dot com), you'll see, for example, that the white is a 3" diameter scoop, and orange is 1-3/16". These seem to be designed for commercial use and amusingly come with instructions for "how to get more profit" by dispensing even scoops of ice cream. I think the commercial design bodes well for a long lifetime for this. Note: These are not clearly dishwasher safe. 9 of 9 people found the following review helpful Nice and small but a bit awkward to scoop with, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Zeroll Universal Small EZ Disher Food/Ice Cream Scoop, Orange (Kitchen) So I ordered all the small dishers available on Amazon. Sure, I'm nuts, but I have Amazon Prime, so the shipping was free. Anyway, I thought you all might like to see my analysis of them.I added a picture of the scoops and the balls they created to the item, see the alternate pictures. The balls are made out of quite firm, straight from the refrigerator whipped white chocolate ganache. There are two scoops shown for each disher. On the left is a scoop leveled off with a knife, to the right is a slightly rounded "natural" scoop. The Orange Zeroll scoop produced ganache balls of 6-8 grams, Burgundy produced scoops of 13-22 grams. (see picture) I also bought the Norpro Stainless Steel Scoop, 25MM (1.5 Teaspoon) and am keeping that, as I really wanted a very small scoop. The next smallest is also the most expensive, the...
